Privacy policy.

1. Who is responsible

Blyvo Studio, of Ontario, Canada, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our privacy officer can be reached at blyvostudio.billing@gmail.com or 289-440-1464 for any question, request or complaint.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to provide our services:

  • When you contact us: your name, business name, email address, phone number and what you tell us in your message or call.
  • When we build a preview or website for a business: information that business has already made public — the content and photos of its current website and its public business listings (for example its Google Business Profile: name, address, phone, hours, photos and public reviews, including the name each reviewer chose to display).
  • When you become a client: billing details (name, business, address, email), the information needed to launch your website (such as your domain name), and anything you choose to send us, such as photos or a menu. Payments are made online by card through Stripe (or by cash or cheque). Your card details go directly to Stripe; we receive only the payment status, amount, date, your name and email, and the last four digits and type of the card — never the full card number.
  • When you visit useblyvo.com: our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in server logs, used to keep the website running and secure. Our website stores one small setting in your browser for the current visit only, so the opening animation doesn’t replay on every page. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to you; to build, show and improve previews and websites; to launch and host websites; to send invoices and receipts and keep business records; to meet our legal obligations; and to protect our services against misuse. We use it only for these purposes or ones you agree to, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

4. Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI tools to help write and edit website copy, review layouts and create images. To do this, the business information described above (for example the text of a current website, services, hours and public reviews) may be sent to the AI providers listed below for processing. We do not send payment details, government ID numbers or health information to AI tools.

Where a provider offers the choice, we set our accounts so the information we send is not used to train their models. AI-generated images on the websites we build are generic illustrations and are never presented as photographs of a real business, its staff or its customers. A person reviews AI-assisted work, and our clients approve it before it is published. We do not make decisions about individuals using AI.

5. Who helps us (service providers)

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, only as needed, and under agreements that require them to protect it:

  • Website hosting and delivery: Netlify, Inc. (live websites and form messages) and Cloudflare, Inc. (previews).
  • Business listing data: Google LLC (Google Maps / Places), used to read public business details.
  • AI tools: Anthropic PBC (writing and editing), OpenAI, L.L.C. and Fal.ai (image creation).
  • Email, invoices and receipts: Google LLC (Gmail), and our phone provider.
  • Payments: Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd. and its affiliates (card payments), which handle your payment under their own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business (in which case the information stays protected by this policy).

6. Information stored outside Canada

Several of the providers above are located in the United States or other countries, so your information may be stored and processed outside Canada and may be accessible to authorities there under local law. We choose providers that protect information to standards comparable to those in Canada.

7. Contact forms on websites we build

Websites we launch for our clients may include a contact form. When a visitor sends a message, it is delivered by our hosting provider to the client’s chosen email address and kept in the hosting account so it isn’t lost. In this role we act on our client’s behalf: the client decides how it uses those messages, and its own privacy notice applies. We access form messages only when needed to provide, maintain or fix the service, and we do not use them for any purpose of our own.

8. How long we keep it

  • Previews for businesses that don’t go ahead: taken down and deleted within 60 days, or sooner if asked.
  • Messages from people who contact us but don’t become clients: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
  • Client records, invoices and receipts: kept for 7 years, as part of our business records.
  • Website contact-form messages: kept in the hosting account for up to 12 months, then deleted, unless the client asks us to delete them sooner.
  • Server logs: kept for the short periods set by our hosting providers.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it securely.

9. Keeping it safe

We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity: secure (HTTPS) connections, access limited to the people who need it, strong passwords and two-step sign-in on our accounts, and reputable providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but if a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it (including a preview of your business), or stop contacting you. You can also withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits; we will explain any consequences. We respond within 30 days, at no cost. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

11. Children

Our services are for businesses. Our website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell affected clients directly.
